A general word of warning: toner is an extremely fine black power. You are almost guaranteed to spill at least a little during this process. It's not the end of the world but it's messy. I recommend that you try your first refill out doors.
General Refilling Procedures:
1. First you locate the plastic fill plug similar to the one shown in the photo. To access the plug, you may need to remove some screws that hold the the plug. Some cartridges have them, some don't.
2. Slowly and gently, pry the plug away from the cartridge using a flat tip screwdriver. You will probably see some toner remaining in the cartridge.
3. Refill by pouring toner into the fill hole through the nozzle attached to the toner bottle. NOTE: Gently tap on the bottle DON'T squeeze it! Tap the toner cartridge to make sure it is full.
4. Replace the plug when finished refilling.
5. Gently wipe, brush or blow away the toner you just spilled all over the cartridge and go indoors.
5. This cartridge has a MEMORY CHIP which needs to be replaced in order for the printer to operate. The chip counts how many pages are printed then shuts down your cartridge. (Usually when you still have plenty of toner left). Using your jeweler's screw driver carefully remove the
tiny screw that holds the chip in place. DON'T loose the screw! Remove the chip and set your new one in place and fasten with it the screw you just spent ten minutes looking for.
Reinstall your cartridge, wash your hands and pat yourself on the back because you just saved about Fifty Dollars by refilling your own toner cartridge.

A word on toner: There are a lot of toners available. Some are probably cheaper than mine and some cost more. Mine works! I have four refills on the cartridge I currently have in my laser printer and it's still going strong! I've saved enough on toner cartridges that my Minolta has
paid for itself :)
